Knights attacked at Owen Sound 4-3

Aiden Dudas scored twice as the Owen Sound Attack beat the London Knights 4-3 Saturday night at the Lumley Bayshore Centre.

The Attack move into a tie with the Knights for third place in the OHL Midwest Division standings, with eight points apiece.

Kaleb Pearson scored his first goal of the season in the opening period, the only goal of the first 20 minutes, putting Owen Sound up 1-0. The Attack doubled their lead late in the second period with the first goal of the night from Dudas.

The Knights did outscore the Attack in the third period by three goals to two. Antonio Stranges put London on the board at 5:09 in the final period. Just over two minutes later, Nolan Seed scored his first of the season to extend the Owen Sound lead to 3-1. Late in the frame, Nathan Dunkley brought London to within two goals again, but Dudas soon scored his second of the night into an empty net, after Knights' goalie Jordon Kooy was pulled for the extra attacker. Matvey Guskov scored for the Knights with 31 seconds left in the game, but that would be the end of it.

Kooy had 29 saves out of 32 shots in goal for the Knights. Andrew MacLean stopped 24 shots for the Attack.

The Knights continue their weekend road trip in Guelph Sunday afternoon. The Attack next welcome the Hamilton Bulldogs on Wednesday night.
