Knights fall 5-3 to Greyhounds

The London Knights suffered their first loss of the season in a 5-3 decision to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on Friday.

The Greyhounds scored early in the first period but Cole Tymkin scored for London 14:13 into the frame. The Greyhounds scored another with 1:20 left in the period to make it 2-1 heading into the second.

The Knights tied the game again 6:18 into the second thanks to a goal by Antonio Stranges, but Sault Ste. Marie scored again to retake the lead before the end of the frame.

Connor McMichael scored for London early in the third to tie the game once more. The Knights were able to hang on until the last five minutes of the game where the Greyhounds scored two back-to-back goals to ensure their win.

London goalie Joseph Raaymakers made 23 saves out of 27 shots on net.

The Knights will try to bounce back when they take on the Firebirds in Flint on Saturday at 7 p.m.
