Knights Win Home Opener Against Otters

The London Knights rebounded from their season opener loss to score a 6-2 win against the Erie Otters in their first regular season game at home.

On Friday, a back and forth first period with goals from London's Sam Miletic and Richard Whittaker, saw the Knights tied 2-2 going into the second. Cole Tymkin was able to score to give the Knights the lead 16:41 into the second frame. Both Noah Bennett and Owen MacDonald scored once in the third to seal the win for London.

Knights goalie Tyler Johnson made 29 saves out of 31 shots on net.

Before the game, the Knights kicked off the evening with their 2016 Memorial Cup Championship banner being raised to hang in the rafters at Budweiser Gardens.

The Knights are at home again on September 30 against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds at 7:30pm.
