Wallaceburg Native Makes NHL Debut

Seth Griffith’s first regular season game for Boston was a heartbreaking last-second loss to Colorado on Monday afternoon.

Avalanche forward Daniel Briere slammed home a rebound with only 0.4 seconds left in regulation time to give the visitors a 2-1 win over the Bruins.

Griffith was held off the scoreboard but did register two shots on goal and saw just over 16 minutes of ice-time.

The 21-year-old winger was recalled from the Bruins’ AHL affiliate over the weekend. In his first professional season (2013-2014) with the Providence Bruins, he notched 20 goals and 50 points. The Wallaceburg native had a stellar four-year OHL career with the London Knights, where he amassed 231 points.
