Knox Named New Lightning Coach

The London Lightning have found Michael Ray Richardson’s replacement.
The team introduced Carlos Knox as the new coach at a news conference on Thursday.
He is currently an assistant coach in charge of player development with the WBNA’s Indiana Fever.
“We have found our guy,” said General Manager, Taylor Brown. “After almost a month of going through several extremely attractive resumes, we believe that Coach Knox is the best candidate to continue our winning tradition.”
Knox began his coaching career at an assistant at his alma-mater, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in 2001-2002. He has also coached in the CBA and in Saudi Arabia.
“When Darryl Greene contacted me about Carlos, we immediately got in touch with him and the rest is history. He comes very well recommended by several influential NBA basketball minds and has significant experience developing professional players. We are extremely confident that Carlos will guide our organization in the right direction. We are excited to get working on next season’s roster,” said Brown. “On behalf of the London Lightning organization, we would like to welcome Carlos to the City of London and the London Lightning family.”
