Knights Defeat Spirit

The London Knights defeated the Spirit 6-2 at the Dow Event Centre in Michigan Saturday night.

Goals were scored by team captain Chris Tierney, Mitchell Marner, Matt Rupert, Max Domi, Owen MacDonald and Bo Horvat.

It was Saginaw’s first home game since the death of 20-year-old Terry Trafford. He died last week of asphyxiation.

In his memory, a video tribute and moment of silence were held before the game.

The Knights play their last game of the regular season Sunday in Sault Ste. Marie against the Greyhounds.

Friday, the Knights host the Windsor Spitfires in Game One of the Western Conference Quarter Final series at Budweiser Gardens.

Game two will also be held in London Saturday night.

Tickets are still available for both games and can be purchased at the Aluminum Associates London Knights Armoury (entrance off Talbot Street), online or by phone at 519-681-0800 x1.
