Home builder's soccer tournament raising money for Y.O.U.

London's home builders are teaming up for a great cause.

The London Home Builder's Association (LHBA) is holding a charity soccer tournament on Friday - with proceeds going to Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU).

"It’s great to see so many of our members jump at the chance to play not only for the Constructors Cup title, but to support an organization and project that will benefit our wider London community,” said LHBA CEO Jared Zaifman.

14 teams have registered to play in the tournament, which takes place at Tricar Field on Colonel Talbot Road in south London.

Money raised will go to YOU's Joan's Place.

Organizers are hoping to rack the $10,000 donation mark.

Teams from The Tricar Group, Sifton Properties Limited, Cardinal Fine Cabinetry Corporation, Drewlo Holdings, Copp Building Materials Limited, London Riverside Construction, and Hazelwood Homes will be participating.

“We are thrilled that Tricar and the LHBA are supporting Joan’s Place. Once construction is complete, Joan’s Place will serve 200+ people daily in a total of 55,000 square feet, including a youth wellness hub and 39 affordable housing units,” said YOU CEO Steve Cordes.

London Mayor Josh Morgan will be on hand for the event, which will be emceed by Craig Needles of London News Today and Classic Rock 98.1.
