In anticipation of the busy summer months, Megabus is increasing service between London and Toronto.
The North American intercity bus company made the announcement Thursday. The switch to more frequent trips begins next week, with Megabus offering more than twice as many runs between the two cities.
There will be eight trips every Thursday to Monday and four trips on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. That is up from the current two midweek routes and four weekend treks. Megabus also offers two trips from downtown London on its Detroit to Toronto service line. Stops for the commuter bus are located at 244 York Street, the Flying J parking lot on Highbury Avenue, and the Western University campus.
“With summertime and warmer weather upon us, we’re expecting heavy volumes of travelers in Canada,” said Megabus Vice President of Commercial Service Colin Emberson. “The demand for travel is rapidly increasing and we’re pleased to be able to offer our customers even more options to meet their individual needs.”
The company is also tripling the number of departures from Toronto to Niagara Falls.
Megabus arrived in London in 2021, filling the void created when Greyhound Canada shut down its operations in Ontario.
