Man threatened with knife inside bus shelter

A 34-year-old is facing charges after a man was threatened with a knife at a bus shelter near London's Old East Village.

The man was standing inside the shelter in the area of Dundas and Adelaide streets around 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday when a man he didn't know came and stood beside him. The unknown man is alleged to have pulled out a knife and made threats.

The man who was originally in the shelter left and went to nearby London police headquarters to report the encounter.

Police arrested a suspect and seized a knife.

No injuries were reported.

A London man is charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and possession of a weapon. He was scheduled to appear in London court Thursday.
