Man charged in knife-point robbery outside Cherryhill Mall

London police are trying to track down the victim of a knife-point robbery in the parking lot of Cherryhill Mall.

A witness called police after seeing the robbery taking place outside the Oxford Street West shopping centre around 6:45 p.m. Thursday. The witness told officers a man holding a knife was demanding items from another man.

Using a description provided by the witness, police arrested a suspect nearby.

A 26-year-old man from St. Catharines has been charged with assault with intent to steal, disguise with intent, and breaching probation. He is scheduled to appear in London court on Friday.

Police have not yet found the man who was being robbed. They are asking that individual or anyone with information about the robbery to call them at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
