Trio charged in south London home invasion, two suspects outstanding

London police say three people face charges relating to a home invasion that allegedly saw a victim detained inside their home for several days.

According to investigators, on January 29, three suspects forced their way into the home of an acquaintance somewhere in the city's south end. Once inside, the trio are said to have demanded money and personal items from the victim.

Police say during the ordeal, the victim was assaulted with various weapons and tied up by the accused. The suspects reportedly held the victim captive until last Thursday, which is when police say they took off with several items belonging to the victim.

On Friday, February 3, police were called about the incident. The victim was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

On Monday, police announced charges against three people. Kenneth James Peter Rowe, 28, Cody Michael Augustus Sharpe, 27, and Alexandra Reeves, 31, all of London, are jointly charged with:

• Break and enter • Armed robbery • Forcible confinement • Uttering threats of death or bodily harm

The three also face varying counts of assault and assault with a weapon. Sharpe, who was taken into custody on Monday, faces an additional charge of assault by suffocation. Reeves is additionally charged with uttering threats to animals or birds and administering a noxious thing.

Reeves and Rowe remain outstanding as of Monday afternoon.
