Flair Airlines to offer new London to Calgary service

Ultra-low fare airline Flair is expanding its summer destination roster out of the London International Airport for a second time this week.

The carrier announced on Friday it will run London to Calgary service three times a week starting on June 1. News of the new non-stop flights to Calgary came just days after Flair said it would begin offering London to Winnipeg service twice weekly as of June 11. It will also be running service out of London to Vancouver and Halifax this summer.

"The initial response in the London market to our entry to the market is proof positive that Londoners want low fares and more destinations," said Flair CEO Stephen Jones. "This summer, we'll fly from London to Vancouver, Halifax and Winnipeg to Calgary so that residents can enjoy the Calgary Stampede or hop over to the Rockies. Equally important are Calgarians seeking to visit friends and family back home in London."

One-way fare on the new London to Calgary route starts at $49, including taxes and fees.

Flair has been operating in the London market since December when it launched weekly flights to Tucson, Arizona.

"The London and surrounding community could not be happier about increased non-stop flight options to exciting destinations with Flair’s incredibly low fares," Scott McFadzean, president of the London International Airport, said on Friday. "We are excited about this opportunity for London to grow further with Flair and encourage everyone to take advantage of their low introductory fares.”

Based out of Edmonton, Flair has a fleet of Boeing 737 aircrafts and serves over 35 cities across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.
