Flair adding London to Winnipeg flights this summer

Discount carrier Flair Airlines is expanding its service out of the London International Airport with a new summer route.

Flair has announced it will begin offering two flights a week from London to Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 11.

“Flair Airlines and the London International Airport continue to build on our partnership and offer more service at YXU," Airport President Scott McFadzean said in a statement. “Winnipeg has strong demand from London for both business and leisure travel and we are excited to offer this service this summer."

The new direct London to Winnipeg flights will go on Sundays and Wednesdays, with return flights the same days. One-way fares for the new route begin at $69 including taxes and fees, the self-described ultra-low fare carrier said.

Flair already offers weekly flights from London to Tucson, Arizona. It previously announced plans to begin service from London to Vancouver and Halifax in June.

In addition to the service out of London, Flair is adding new routes out of Winnipeg to Victoria and Kelowna, British Columbia. It is also expanding weekly service to Pearson International Airport, Calgary International Airport, and Vancouver International Airport.

“The addition of these new routes out of Winnipeg is important for our growing network as we work to connect the dots,” said Garth Lund, chief commercial officer at Flair. “Winnipeg is an important part of our network, and the launch of our new routes to Victoria, Kelowna, and London is a testament to our commitment to connecting Winnipeg to even more destinations across the country. We are excited to continue to grow our presence in this important market.”

Flights on the new London to Winnipeg route can be booked now at flyflair.com.
