St. Thomas police search for suspect in home invasion

After a violent home invasion on Sunday morning, St. Thomas police are searching for a man they believe was involved in the incident.

Around 2:40 a.m. on January 29, police say two men broke into a home in the north end of St. Thomas. The suspects allegedly forced their way through the door, assaulted somebody inside the home, and fled the scene on foot with a third person.

Police believe 33-year-old Daniel Corlett was involved in the home invasion. He is facing several charges including break and enter, assault with a weapon, and possession of a firearm.

The accused may also be connected to a second home invasion that happened on the same night.

"Corlett remains outstanding and a warrant is being sought," said a statement from the St. Thomas Police Service. "Police have not identified the second male involved and are seeking the public's assistance."

The public is advised to not approach Corlett.
