More charges laid in London Gold Buyer armed robbery

Additional charges have been laid in connection with a violent armed robbery of an east London gold store.

According to police, on the morning of January 5, London Gold Buyer was the target of an armed robbery that left one person shot and another with blunt force trauma. Both victims were taken to hospital and listed in serious, non-life threatening condition. No update on their condition has been provided at this time.

Police swarmed the area, but did not make any arrests until later, when four men were taken into custody in Woodstock. Four men from the Toronto area face several charges in relation to the incident.

The accused are aged 19, 20, 21, and 21.

London police announced on Thursday that more charges have been laid against one of the accused. The 19-year-old is now additionally charged with making a firearm and possession of a prohibited weapon. He was previously charged with 14 offenses including armed robbery, aggravated assault, and pointing and discharging a firearm.

The 19-year-old is scheduled to appear in London court on Monday.
