Dream lottery kicks off fall run with three grand prizes (GALLERY)

A dream home, luxury car, a once in a lifetime vacation, or cash? That's what you could win with the launch of the fall edition of the Dream Lottery.

The semi-annual lottery in support of the London Health Sciences Centre, Children’s Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Health Care London kicked off Thursday morning with an additional two grand prizes up for grabs.

The winner of the first grand prize will be able to choose from three options starting with a 3,254 sq. ft custom built and designed dream home just outside of London at 1 Sycamore Road in Talbotville by Woodfield Design and Build and Red Acorn Studio valued at $1.79-million.

A wanderlust could instead opt for a dream home on wheels by choosing a prize package that includes a 2023 Ford F150 Lariat Hybrid valued at over $99,000 to tow their travel trailer of choice with a $250,000 Can-Am gift certificate along with $750,000 in cash to spend.

As usual, the grand prize winner will also be able to choose $1-million cash if they decide not to go for either home option.

Despite COVID-19 restrictions being lifted, lottery organizers have opted for a virtual walk through of the dream home instead of in-person tours.

On top of the first grand prize are two others which include, a BMW X5 xDrive40i or $100,000 in cash, and a third grand prize of a dream vacation for two to South Africa, London, Paris, Hamburg, and Peru or $50,000 in cash.

“Whether you want to wake up in a Dream Home or on a Dream Vacation, your Dream Lottery ticket can make your dreams a reality and help ensure the best possible care for patients in our community.” said Scott Fortnum, president and CEO of the Children’s Health Foundation.

The 50/50 is back with a guaranteed minimum payout of $250,000 and no maximum. Last fall's winner walked away with $700,000 for a total jackpot of over $1.4-million. The Making a Difference Calendar is also back and features four months of daily $1,000 prizes from January to April 2023. 50/50 and calendars can only be ordered when purchasing a ticket.

Early Bird draw prizes include an all-expenses paid eight-night trip to Belize or $8,000 plus 99 winners will receive a $100 Esso/Mobil gift card.

“With so many incredible prizes to choose from, it’s exciting to start dreaming about the possibilities," said Michelle Campbell, president and CEO of St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation. "Proceeds from your ticket purchase will be reinvested into London’s hospitals, making better patient care a reality."

In the past, the Dream Lottery has sold out in record time. If all tickets sell out by either the Bonus or Early Bird deadlines, the winners will be announced sooner, otherwise the announcement date is set for December 21, 2022.

Tickets for the Dream Lottery can be bought online at www.dreamitwinit.ca or by phone at 519-488-7100.
