Four people are facing charges after police seized $2.6 million worth of cannabis from an illegal grow-op in Tillsonburg.
Members of the OPP Oxford, Haldimand/Norfolk, and Brant County community street crime units and the emergency response team raided a commercial building on Clearview Drive around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
Inside, officers found 2,600 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. Police estimate the plants are worth an estimated $2.6 million.
Four people who were inside the building at the time of the search were arrested without incident, police said on Friday.
A 38-year-old, a 46-year-old, and two 43-year-olds, all from Toronto, have been charged with cultivating, propagating or harvesting cannabis plants at a place that is not their dwelling-house.
All four have been released from custody with a future court date.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
