GO-VAXX bus returns to London in August

The province's GO-VAXX mobile vaccination clinic is rolling back through London-Middlesex this month.

The bus is scheduled to make half a dozen stops in the area throughout August according to health officials with the Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU).

"GO-VAXX bus clinics continue to be offered as part of a broader effort to reach individuals and families who have not yet received the COVID-19 vaccine because of inconvenient clinic locations, scheduling and limited transportation options," a release from MLHU read.

The GO-VAXX bus will make its first stop this Sunday at the North Middlesex Community Centre located at 224 McLeod Street in Parkhill from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Additional stops in August include:

• Monday, August 8, 2022, Northland Mall, 1275 Highbury Ave. North, London, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. • Monday, August 15, 2022, Pond Mills Square, 1200 Commissioners Rd. East, London, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. • Monday, August 22, 2022, Westmount Shopping Centre, 785 Wonderland Rd. Appointments are not required to attend GO-VAXX clinics the health unit said. However, vaccines for children who are over six months of age, but under five-years-old, will not be available at the mobile bus clinics.

GO-VAXX buses are operated in partnership with Metrolinx. All COVID-19 public health safety measures are followed on board, including pre-entry symptom screening, mandatory face covering while inside, and post-vaccination monitoring.
