Vehicle hit by gunfire in south London

London police are appealing for witnesses and dash camera footage after a vehicle was hit by a bullet in the south end of the city.

Officers were called about the shots being fired in the area of Wellington Road South and Bradley Avenue just before midnight on Sunday. No one was hurt, but the vehicle that was hit had minor damage.

The investigation is in its early stages, police said. They are asking anyone who was in the area at the time who has information or dam camera footage of the incident to call them at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

So far this year, police have investigated eight incidents involving possible gunfire in the city. Last week, a 16-year-old was charged after shots rang out in the area of Edmonton Street and Hilton Avenue. Police found evidence a weapon had been fired and seized a 20-gauge pump-action shotgun, a replica handgun, and various shotgun shells as part of their investigation. No injuries were reported.
