Middlesex OPP arrest pair following months-long investigation

A man and a woman face several weapons and drug trafficking-related charges following an investigation launched nearly half a year ago.

According to Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), three search warrants were executed at addresses on Central Avenue and Gore Road in London, and Bennett Crescent in Mount Brydges. The operations were part of Project Primrose 21, an investigation begun five months ago.

During the search, police officers recovered some items and charged a 32-year-old London man and a 30-year-old woman from Mount Brydges.

The London man faces eight charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine and cocaine), possession of a loaded restricted firearm, careless storage of a firearm, and possession of property obtained by crime, among several other charges.

The Mount Brydges woman is also charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Both of the accused remain in custody pending a bail hearing. The investigation is ongoing.
