A London woman faces charges after a London police officer was assaulted while making an arrest.
According to London police, an officer was called to White Oaks Mall on Tuesday in regards to a woman who had been previously banned from the mall and was refusing to leave.
"The officer approached the suspect, however, the woman refused to leave when directed," police said. "When the officer advised the woman that she was under arrest for trespassing, she resisted arrest and became combative with police."
Police say more officers were called to the scene, and when they arrived, the woman contined to assault the officer and resist arrest.
A 36-year-old woman is charged with resisting arrest, assaulting a peace officer, and failing to leave a premises when directed.
She is to appear in court on August 2, 2022.
