GO-VAXX bus returning to London

The GO-VAXX mobile vaccination clinic will be back in London again this weekend.

The Middlesex London Health Unit said Friday that the province's vaccination bus will make a stop at the East Lions Community Centre on Sunday. It will mark the third time the bus has come to London. The previous visits saw the bus parked in the Pond Mills area.

The bus will be at the East Lions Community Centre parking lot at 1731 Churchill Avenue from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday.

The mobile bus clinic will provide first doses of COVID-19 vaccine to anyone five years of age and older, as well as second and booster doses to those who are eligible. Anyone wanting to get a shot at the mobile clinic will have to book an appointment, as a limited number of doses will be available. To book an appointment, go to covid19.ontariohealth.ca/ and following the instructions under the "book your vaccine appointment" section of the webpage or call 1-833-943-3900 to reach the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre.

Appointments can be booked beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday.

The GO-VAXX bus has been traveling across the province, making stops at malls, community hubs, festivals, and special events. All COVID-19 public health safety measures are followed on board, including pre-entry symptom screening, mandatory face covering while inside, and post-vaccination monitoring.

The goal of the mobile clinic is to reach those who have not yet been vaccinated due to barriers, including convenience and limited transportation options.
