$130K of meth, stolen property, firearms, vehicles seized

OPP officers in Oxford County have charged two men in an investigation that turned up well over $100,000 worth of drugs and stolen property.

Last Thursday, investigators attended a property on Township Road 4 in Blandford-Blenheim Township to conduct a search warrant. During the probe, officers seized suspected methamphetamine along with a large amount of stolen property including, firearms, trailers, motor vehicles, machinery, tools and electronics. Police estimated the total value of all the items is approximately $130,000.

On Monday, OPP announced two Blandford-Blenheim Township men, aged 46 and 37, were facing a total of 23 charges including, five counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, six counts of careless storage, seven counts of property obtained by crime over $5,000, four counts of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and possession of a schedule I substance.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and further charges are pending.

The pair is due to appear in a Woodstock courtroom at a later date.
