London police are once again appealing to the public for information that could lead them to the second suspect in the death of first year Western University student Gabriel Neil.
The 18-year-old from Simcoe, who had recently moved to London for school, was viciously assaulted in a parking lot at Western and Sarnia Roads around 2 a.m. on September 11. He was rushed to hospital where he died from his injuries the following day.
Manslaughter charges were laid against two London men - Aliyan Ahmed, 21, and Haroun Raselma, 19.
While Ahmed was arrested shortly after the assault, Raselma has been on the run for nearly three months. A Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued for him five days after Neil's death.
"Haroun Raselma is known to have ties to both London and the Montreal area, however his current whereabouts are unknown and he has not been arrested," Detective Sergeant Sean Travis said in a statement on Thursday. "We implore him to contact a lawyer and surrender himself to police."
Along with the renewed calls for information on the whereabouts of Raselma, police released a photo of the 19-year-old. He is described as Middle-Eastern with a lighter complexion, 5'10”, with a medium to heavy build, and shoulder-length bushy/curly brown hair that he parts in the middle.

Neil's death was the city's 12th homicide of the year.
Ahmed has been out on bail since September 16. He makes his next court appearance on December 13.
