Charges have been laid against a London woman after an armed robbery at White Oaks Mall.
An employee inside one of the stores at the south-end mall saw a woman pick up several items and allegedly attempt to leave without paying for them around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A mall security officer confronted the woman, at which time she showed him a handgun and took off, London police said.
Police were called and arrested a suspect shortly after in the area of Bradley Avenue and Jalna Boulevard.
A replica handgun and stolen property were seized.
A 31-year-old London woman is charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of failure to comply with a release order. The woman was scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on Wednesday.
