The London Knights trampled the Sarnia Sting 5-2 during Friday's game in London at Budweiser Gardens.

Sarnia was first to score with a goal by Ryan Mast at 11:55 into the first period. London put their first goal up at 18:51 with a shot in the Sting's net by Luke Evangelista ending the first frame tied 1-1.

Heading into the second period, the Knights were able to score twice with their second goal by Cody Morgan at 1:20 and a third by Landon Sim at 2:27. Sting skater Justin O'Donnell responded with Sarnia's second goal at 15:17 letting them trail just behind London with the score 3-2 ahead of the final period.

During third, the Knights scored a fourth goal at 8:07 thanks to Evangelista again. He scored his third goal and the fifth for London with just under two minutes left in the game giving the Knights a 5-2 win against Sarnia.

Sting goaltender fiercely defended Sarnia's net and made 31 saves out of 35 shots on net while Knights goalie Brett Brochu saved 25 shots.

The Sting will have a chance to redeem themselves on Saturday when they hit the road to take on the Owen Sound Attack. Puck drops for that game at 7:30 p.m.

London will hit home ice again next Friday, November 5, also against the Attack at 7:30 p.m.
