Knights stomp out Attack 4-1

The London Knights added to their winning streak after they defeated the Owen Sound Attack 4-1 during Wednesday's away game.

Luke Evangelista scored the first goal of the game for the Knights 7:32 into the first period. Just over a minute later, Max McCue grabbed a second goal for London with assists from Antonio Stranges and Cody Morgan. The Knights tripled the Attack with just under five minutes left in the frame with a shot in the net by Colton Smith capping the first period 3-0.

London was unable to add to their score in the second period while Owen Sound put up a single goal leaving them to trail two points behind the Knights with the score 3-1 going into third.

Both teams were seemingly unsuccessful in moving up on the scoreboard during the final frame, until the Knights scored on an empty net during a power play with eight seconds left on the game finishing the game 4-1.

Knights goaltender Brett Brochu saved 32 goals out of 33 shots on net. With this latest defeat, London is now on a seven-game winning streak and hasn't dropped a single game since the official season started earlier this month.

London will have another shot to win on Friday when they take on the Sarnia Sting on home ice. Puck drops for that game at 7:30 p.m.
