Harassment suspect arrested again

A man who is facing charges after allegedly following several women on the Western University campus last week has been arrested and charged again.

London police say the man, who was charged with five counts of criminal harassment by repeated following after several women reported being followed last Monday and Tuesday, was arrested again Saturday. According to police, a 21-year-old woman reported that a man driving a black Honda Civic followed her at a slow rate of speed as she walked to a home on Patricia Street. Fearing for her safety, the woman called police.

"The suspect male parked his vehicle in the driveway of the home and knocked on the door of the house repeatedly," police alleged. "When there was no answer at the home, the male returned to his vehicle and sat outside the home."

Officers arrived and took the man into custody.

The 22-year-old is charged with one count of criminal harassment by repeated following.

After the arrest, police investigated two other incidents that allegedly involved the same man between October 16 and 18. He faces additional counts of criminal harassment by repeated following, as well as charges of criminal harassment by watching and bestting.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
