More COVID-19 cases at Thames Valley schools

Several students across London and Middlesex County will be kept home this week after cases of COVID-19 were identified at three schools.

The Thames Valley District School Board announced on Sunday that cases had been detected at Laurie Hawkins Public School in Ingersoll, Oakridge Secondary School in London, and Wilberforce Public School in Lucan.

"Thames Valley wishes to assure the community that all staff, parents and guardians of the school communities were immediately notified," the school board said in a news release. "Thames Valley is following all health and safety protocols recommended by both the local public health unit and the Ministry of Education, and schools remain safe places to attend."

Staff and students who were in close contact with the infected individuals will be contacted and advised to quarantine at home for ten days.
