Sarnia man charged in London gun bust

A Sarnia man faces charges after London police seized a rifle and several rounds of ammunition.

Officers with the London police Guns and Drugs Section, with the help of the Emergency Response Unit and other officers, raided a home on Shelborne Street on Tuesday afternoon.

They seized a Lee Enfield Mark 1 bolt-action rifle, various shells and ammunition, handgun and rifle ammunition magazines, and various firearm parts.

Jacob Albert Slaght, 28, of Sarnia is charged with possession of a firearm other than a restricted or prohibited firearm without a licence and careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device, or ammunition.
