COVID-19 cases identified in schools in London, Aylmer

There are two more London-area schools reporting cases of COVID-19.

The Thames Valley District School Board said late Tuesday night that two cases have been detected at Clarke Road Secondary School in London and one case was confirmed at Davenport Public School in Aylmer.

The Middlesex London Health Unit and Southwestern Public Health are working to identify close contacts of the infected individuals . The board added that letters will be sent to parents and guardians whose child has been listed as a close contact.

"Only those staff and students who have been identified as a close contact will be notified and advised to stay home from school and quarantine for a period of ten days," the board said.

Both schools remain open.

Currently, the Thames Valley board has a total of 22 active cases at 18 schools. The London District School Board has just one active case at one school. There are no ongoing outbreaks at schools within either school board.
