Woodstock man charged with attempted murder of sex-trade worker

A Woodstock man is accused of attempted murder following an incident in Hamilton earlier this week.

According to Hamilton police, officers were called to a residence on October 5, around 5 p.m. for an alleged sexual assault of a woman in her 40s.

As a result, 47-year-old Peter Anthony Pasco has been charged with the attempted murder of the victim, who officers say is a sex-trade worker.

Detectives from the Hamilton Police Sexual Assault Unit believe there may be more victims as Pasco is known to travel.

"We want all survivors of sexual violence to know that we believe them and we will respect their choice in when they report an incident, where and how," a statement from Hamilton police read.
