Electrical fire causes $50K damage

Damage is pegged at $50,000 after a fire at a home in west London.

The blaze broke out in the attic of a townhouse on Ridgewood Crescent south of Springbank Drive just before 9 p.m. Monday.

Firefighters were able to quickly douse the fire before it spread to the rest of the home, removing insulation to ensure there were no hot spots remaining.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire has been deemed electrical in nature.
