Two charged in armed robbery

London police say two men are facing charges after an armed robbery at a grocery store

According to police, around 10:55 a.m. Wednesday, two men went into the Great Canadian Superstore on Oxford Street East and put several items in a grocery bin that belonged to the store. A loss prevention officer watched as the men left the store without paying for the items. When the loss prevention officer approached the men, one of them pulled out a knife.

The men ran from the scene and police were called.

Two suspects were later arrested in the area of Adelaide Street North and McMahon Street.

A 34-year-old man and a 33-year-old man are each chargd with armed robbery.

Both have been released from custody and are to appear in court on December 7.
