Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole in London Friday

Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole is kicking off the final weekend of the federal election with visit to London.

O'Toole will be at Bellamere Winery and Event Centre on Gainsborough Road at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. He is expected to make an announcement from the popular venue.

This is the first time O'Toole's has been in London since the campaign began. His visit comes on the heels of stops in the city earlier this week by NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh and People Party of Canada (PPC)Leader Maxime Bernier.

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau visited London on September 6. He was infamously hit with a handful of gravel while leaving the London Brewing Co-op to board his campaign bus. The Elgin-Middlesex-London PPC riding association president was charged in the incident. He has since been terminated by the PPC.

The national party leaders' interest in London is believed to be focused on London-West. The riding is the only one in the city that does not have an incumbent. It was previously held by Liberal Kate Young, who is not seeking reelection. The NDP's Shawna Lewkowitz, the Liberal's Arielle Kayabaga, the Conservative's Rob Flack, the PPC's Mike McMullen of the PPC, and Libertarian Jacques Boudreau are all vying for the seat.
