A 65-year-old Mount Brydges man may be retiring sooner than planned thanks to a multi-million dollar lottery win.
Elie Chebib claimed the $2 million jackpot in the August 11 Ontario 49 draw.
“I checked my ticket on the OLG app and I didn’t know what to do. I thought I won $2, until I saw all the zeroes,” Chebib said of his massive win.
The 65-year-old had been planning to retire soon and said he will use his winnings to take a vacation with his daughter and son-in-law.
Ontario 49 costs $1 per play and is drawn every Wednesday and Saturday. Chebib bought his winning ticket at the Rexall on Beaverbrook Avenue in London.
