Another case of COVID-19 at Thames Valley school

After just one week into the new school year, the London region is continuing to see more COVID-19 cases at its public schools.

The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) reported on Saturday that public health officials have identified a case of the virus at Kensal Park French Immersion Public School in London.

"Thames Valley wishes to assure the community that all staff, parents and guardians of the school communities were immediately notified," the school board said in a news release. "If you do not receive a letter from Thames Valley indicating the public health unit has identified your child as a close contact, your child is not considered to be at risk."

Those who are identified as a close contact will be required to stay home from school and quarantine for a period of 10 days.

The health unit has identified positive cases of COVID-19 at four TVDSB schools. A list of all active cases within the TVDSB can be found by clicking here.

There are currently no active cases within the London District Catholic School Board.
