Three people hurt in St. Thomas home invasion

One man has been arrested while the search for two other suspects continues after a violent home invasion in St. Thomas over the long weekend.

St. Thomas police were called to the south-end home around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Investigators determined three people were inside the home when two men and a woman forced their way in. The three residents were assaulted and undisclosed items were stolen," police said. The extent of the victims' injuries were not released.

The three suspects took off from the area in a vehicle before police arrived.

A 39-year-old man was arrested in connection with the home invasion on Sunday morning. He is charged with robbery, break and enter, assault, and breach of probation order.

Police continue to search for the other two suspects. No description of those individuals was provided.
