AUDIO: London radio legend pens book about his career

After decades behind the microphone, a London radio icon has decided to put his experience on the job into a book.

Bill Brady, who was a pioneering radio talk show host and filled many other roles with Blackburn Radio, has written It's All About Me: My Life in Broadcasting, a memoir about his career.

“I often think about the hundreds of interviews, the countless studio guests and how much I enjoyed sharing their stories with listeners,” Brady said, “I decided I wanted to do something productive during lockdown and started to write. Once I started, the memories, most of them happy ones, fueled this book.”

The book includes stories about interviews with Prime Ministers, hosting an open line talk show, and being on the air on CFPL-TV.

It also includes a fictional story Brady wrote, called Pandemic Millionaire.

Brady did an interview with Blackburn News Podcast host Craig Needles, which can be heard below.
