Police seek suspect wanted in home invasion

London police are investigating after a woman was assaulted by a man who broke into her home.

Officers were called to a home on Gunn Street shortly after 4:15 a.m. Thursday for a robbery.

According to police, two women were sleeping when one of them awoke to find an unknown man inside the home. The man demanded money and property from the victim and told her he had a knife. However, no weapon was observed police said.

The man fled the home after assaulting one of the women. Police searched the area for a suspect, but no one was found.

The victim sustained minor injuries during the incident.

Police are searching for a man described as Caucasian, in his 20s, who was about 6' tall.
