Fire leads to arson charges

A London man is charged with arson after a fire in a vacant building.

Fire crews were called to a vacant building on King Street near Lyle Street around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. They put out the fire and an investigation determined that it was suspicious in nature.

According to police, a suspect was arrested near the scene.

There has been no damage estimate released yet, but police say the fire was contained to a small area.

A 28-year-old London man is charged with arson and break and enter to commit arson.
