Police in Woodstock are searching for a male suspect who is believed to be carrying a shotgun.
A weapons investigation alert was issued by the Woodstock Police Service just before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The suspect, described as a male in his early 20s, was seen with what police say resembled a shotgun in the area of Huron Street and Knightsbridge Road.
Officers with Criminal Investigations and the K9 Unit are in the area searching for the man. Police say the man was wearing a dark zipped hoodie, blue jeans, a dark baseball cap and possibly sunglasses.

Residents are asked to avoid the area while police continue with their search.
