A two-vehicle crash northwest of London has sent two people to hospital, one with injuries described as life-threatening.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Nairn Road and Oxbow Drive near Lobo just before 5:15 p.m. on Monday after a pickup truck and another vehicle collided.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged.

The driver of one vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries, while the other driver had serious injuries, Middlesex OPP said.  Both drivers were taken to hospital.

Police said they are currently in the preliminary stages of their investigation into the cause of the crash.

Nairn between Jury Road and Egremont Drive and Oxbow between Coldstream Road and Nairn Road were closed for several hours while police investigated. The roads have since been reopened.
