COVID-19 cases confirmed at a number of London-area schools

On Sunday, The Thames Valley District School Board confirmed positive cases at nine London-area schools.

Active cases have been identified at Clara Brenton Public School, East Carling Public School, H.B. Beal Secondary School, Louise Arbour French Immersion Public School, Oakridge Secondary School, Oliver Stephens Public School, Riverside Public School, Winchester Street Public School, and Woodstock Collegiate Institute.

East Carling, Louise Arbour French Immersion and Oliver Stephens each have two active cases. All other schools identified Sunday have one active case.

All staff, parents, and guardians of the school communities were immediately notified. The schools will remain open.

The Health Unit is investigating to identify close contacts and follow up directly to provide specific testing advice.

Only those who are considered to be at risk have been notified to stay home from school and quarantine for 14 days. If you do not receive a letter from the school board, your child is not considered to be at risk.
