Teens charged after shooting in east end

Three teenagers, including one who was shot, are facing charges after a gun was fired in an east London apartment.

Emergency crews were called to an apartment on Allen Place near Kiwanis Park around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to police, a 17-year-old male was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital with injuries police described as “non-life threatening.”

Officers seized a firearm and arrested two teenage girls.

A 17-year-old female, a 16-year-old female, and the 17-year-old male who was shot are each charged with possession of a restricted firearm without a licence, using/handling a firearm in a careless manner, possession of a loaded restricted firearm, and storing a firearm in a careless manner.

The 17-year-old male is also charged with possession of a weapon contrary to prohibition order.

All three cannot be named because of their age.
