A 39-year-old man is facing charges after police seized a loaded shotgun, a switchblade, and ammunition from a southwest London home.
Officers with the London police guns and drugs section and emergency response unit searched the home on Andover Drive, north of Viscount Road, and a vehicle around 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday. Inside they found a loaded pump-action shotgun, a switchblade knife, 13 rounds of shotgun ammunition, and two rounds of .410 caliber ammunition. Just over $100 cash was also seized.
A London man, 39, was arrested. He is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, careless storage of a firearm or ammunition, possession of a firearm knowing serial number has been tampered with, possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order, and possession of a loaded regulated firearm.
The man is scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on Thursday.
