Firefighters rescue person from Thames River

London firefighters pulled a person from the frigid waters of the Thames River late Wednesday night.

Crews were called to an area of the river near Harris Park just before 11:30 p.m.

Two firefighters went into the water. They found the distressed person under a bridge and brought them back to shore.

No injuries were reported.

"This night rescue is dangerous for all. Another reminder why our professional firefighters are always ready. Please stay away from water and ice," the London Fire Department said in a tweet.

How the person ended up in the river Wednesday is not known.

This is the second time in four days firefighters have pulled someone from the Thames. On Sunday, firefighters sprang into action after a woman fell into the water near Carfrae Street.
