Police charge two after pharmacy broken into twice

London police have charged two suspects following a pair of break-ins to a north end pharmacy.

At around 2:10 a.m. January 27, police were called to a Shoppers Drug Mart store on the corner of Adelaide Street and Huron Street after it was broken into and a number of items were taken. A male suspect fled the store before officers arrived.

Police were called again a week later to the same drug store at 3:00 a.m.  and say a suspect forcibly entered the store, made off with some merchandise, and got into a waiting vehicle.

The suspects were located a short time later in the vehicle and arrested without incident, and the stolen property was recovered.

Officers used video surveillance to confirm the identity of one of the two suspects who is allegedly involved in both robberies.

A 28-year-old man and a 22-year-old man are jointly charged with break and enter and theft. Both of the accused are scheduled to appear in court on May 3.
