London police are looking for answers after three suspicious fires in the downtown core.

The first report came in around 11:30 p.m. Monday. Police say a fire was set in a garbage can on York Street near Colborne Street. About 90 minutes later, fire crews were called to a fire in the Beef Baron strip club on York Street. The bar, which has been closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, suffered about $5,000 in damage.

Around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday, fire crews were called to a blaze outside an address on Richmond Street near York Street. Damage is pegged at $10,000.

"At this time it does not appear as though the three fires are related, but the investigations continue," police said.
