Provincial police in Oxford County are turning to the public for help as they investigate the death of a family dog that went missing on Sunday.
The owner was walking the large husky, identified online as Bobear, on the Carmeuse Limestone Valley Trail when the animal ran into a wooded area. The owner searched the area but was unable to find the dog.
A day later, the owner returned to the area and found the dog dead by the rail line where they had been walking. According to police, the animal appeared to have been killed by an "unknown projectile."
